Retinol. What you need to know

1️⃣ Apply a small amount of retinol product so as not to provoke flaking/dryness. The ‘more = better’ rule doesn't work here.

2️⃣ Do not use products with AHA/BHA acids in the same routine with retinol to avoid unnecessary irritation

3️⃣ Use retinol exclusively in your nighttime routine.

4️⃣ Make sure (!) to use SPF every morning after retinol.

5️⃣ Be patient because results can be judged after 8-12 weeks.

6️⃣ Start using retinol from 1-2 times a week, gradually moving to more frequent use. A couple of times a week is optimal. But, if your skin is as comfortable as possible and you are revitalising it, you can also use the first version of retinol and eye retinol every other day or two (we have taken care of the asset delivery system so that the retinol does not irritate the skin. Skinjestique has such a delivery system provided by phospholipids).

7️⃣ Close the retinol with ceramides or moisturising ingredients that reduce irritation after an hour, so you get maximum results.

P.S. If you encounter flaking, redness and itching after retinol injection - THIS IS NORMAL FOR AGGRESSIVE ACTIVE (retinol is not supposed to moisturise you after all, it is a powerful ingredient used in acne treatment protocols and anti-ageing care).

Don't panic. Fully revitalise your skin (ideally with ceramides and products with panthenol) and reintroduce the active. Very gradually.

And ideally have moisturising products:

SUPER HYDRA ENERGY TONER or SUPER HYDRATING ANTI-AGING SERUM will do the job perfectly, as no active will give 100% results on dehydrated skin (which is almost everyone).
